The CASA of Carson City Run/Walk The CASA of Carson City Run/Walk brings people of all ages and backgrounds together, walking and running, in support of Carson City children who need our help. See our website at casaofcc.org The Run/Walk starts promptly at 8:30 am. Arrive early to warm-up. In Nevada, CASA volunteers primarily serve as guardian ad litem ­advocating for children taken into care by the state through a child welfare court case. The CASA of Carson City Run/Walk will be timed, has categories for different ages and has a 5k route. The event is limited to 200 participants. There will be a 1 1/4 mile kids walk/run/bike for children 10 and under. Parents should accompany small children. Look for Ronald McDonald, entertainment along the route and great fun in a beautiful location! Prizes will be awarded to the top three participants in each 5k sub-category. All registrants receive a t-shirt and a goody bag.
